Download OniDL for Windows ↓
Version 0.1.4 · Windows 10 / 11, 64-bit Intel or AMD · About 13 MB
Free preview · No account, payment or browser extension required.
A refreshed interface and a smaller one-time setup. Existing tools and saved files are kept.
This preview is not digitally signed. Windows or your organisation may block unfamiliar apps. Do not disable security protections to run it.
THREE SIMPLE STEPS
From link to local file.
01 / OPENSave and open OniDL.
Keep the downloaded EXE somewhere convenient. No installer or administrator access is needed. On first use, OniDL prepares free download tools directly from their publishers: about 59 MB for Instagram/Facebook, or 102 MB for YouTube. Tools are kept for later downloads. Allow roughly 650 MB of free space, plus space for your videos.
02 / PASTEChoose your video.
Copy a public single-video link and click Paste in OniDL. Choose video up to 720p, MP3, or AAC audio in an M4A file.
03 / KEEPClick Download.
Files normally save to Downloads → OniDL. Use Change to choose another folder, then Open folder to find the completed file. Cancel stops a download without using your daily allowance.
Only download media you own or have permission to save. Source-site restrictions still apply.
GOOD TO KNOW
A small, free first release.
What's included?
Three completed downloads per local day, single-video links, video up to 720p where available, MP3 and AAC. Portrait videos are supported. Clips without source audio save as silent videos; MP3 and AAC require an audio track. Failed and cancelled downloads do not count. The allowance resets at local midnight. Playlists, batch downloads and desktop Pro activation are not included in this preview.
Does OniDL host or see my videos?
No video passes through OniDL's servers. The app connects directly to the source website from your computer. It has no OniDL account or analytics and does not upload your links or files to OniDL.
Why does a link fail?
Private, login-required, age-restricted, region-restricted, removed or unsupported videos may fail. This release does not import browser cookies. Website support can change. Try a public single-video link and check this page for a newer release.
Why do Chrome or Windows warn about the app?
This is a new, unsigned desktop preview. Chrome and Windows may warn about or block unfamiliar programs. The folder-display update does not remove these warnings. Do not disable your security protections to run it. If a warning names a virus or threat, stop and report its exact wording.
Can I buy Pro or use an Android licence?
Desktop purchases and Pro activation are not available yet. The Windows preview does not use your Android activation code or access your wallet.
Why isn't OniDL in installed apps?
This preview is a portable EXE, so it does not install itself or appear in Windows' installed-apps list. Save the EXE somewhere convenient and open it directly.
How do I update or remove it?
Close the old OniDL window, download the newest EXE from this page, and open the new file. Check the version shown in the app footer. Your chosen folder and daily allowance are retained. OniDL does not silently install updates. To remove it, delete the EXE and its local tool/settings folder at %LOCALAPPDATA%\OniDL. Your saved videos are in your chosen downloads folder.
How can I check the download?
The exact filename and SHA-256 checksum are in SHA256SUMS.txt. This verifies the file matches this release; it does not replace a trusted publisher signature.
